How to Organize Your Suitcase

Suitcase organization is less about folding technique than retrieval. When every category has a clear place, you can dress, repack, and find small items without disturbing the rest of your bag.
Give every category a zone
Use one packing cube for everyday clothing, one for smaller garments, and a separate pouch for laundry. Keep shoes contained and place toiletries upright inside a leak-resistant case.

Use the edges and gaps
Fill shoes with socks or other soft items, then use the perimeter for belts and slim accessories. Put heavy pieces close to the wheel end and keep fragile items cushioned near the center.

Pack the first outfit and bedtime essentials where they can be reached quickly. At the hotel, move whole cubes into drawers rather than unpacking item by item. The same zones make the return pack faster and help reveal anything left behind.
